Yesterday, at approximately 3:30 pm local time in California, news broke of an unidentified explosion leading to a fire at Gurdwara Sahib Bradshaw. This Gurdwara, frequented by over 2,000 people weekly, has become the focal point of a recent incident.
Upon learning of the incident, the UNITED SIKHS team promptly initiated contact with the Gurdwara’s leadership and local law enforcement to gather pertinent information. Thankfully, we can confirm that no injuries were sustained during the incident. Additionally, we learned that the blast resulted from a gas cylinder, triggering a fire that impacted the Punjabi school building. The fire extended into the building’s attic, resulting in significant structural damage and a partial roof collapse.
We strongly advise our Gurdwara leaders and Sikh community members to maintain constant vigilance and promptly report any incidents to law enforcement. We also encourage you to reach out to the UNITED SIKHS UMEED helplineat 1-855-878-6333 if you ever require assistance. Your safety and well-being remain our utmost priorities.
Stay safe and connected.
